Gestalt Therapy

The Gestalt approach prioritizes fostering a dynamic, creative, and growth-focused connection with the world, emphasizing creative adaptation to the changing environment.

It places significant emphasis on the "here and now," focusing in therapy on present experiences where recognition and learning are most effective.

Through present-centered, experiential learning, Gestalt therapy supports clients in adapting to their environment, respecting their freedom to shape the pace and direction of the process of change.

An essential aspect of Gestalt therapy is its experimental approach and emphasis on bodily awareness.

I believe that people are born with innate capacity to create fulfilling relations with other people, and with the environment around them and lead a meaningful life. There are life situations however, where they need assistance to see more clearly the situation they are in, to find out how they are a part of it, and by experimenting and exploring finding new ways to overcome them.

Gestalt therapy can be supportive whenever you feel that something in your life, relationships, or inner world needs attention or change. You might consider therapy if you experience:

  • persistent stress, anxiety, or inner tension

  • feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally disconnected

  • recurring patterns or difficulties in relationships and/or communication

  • challenges with boundaries or expressing your needs

  • loss of meaning, identity questions, or in life transitions

  • grief, loneliness, or a sense of isolation

  • bodily tension or disconnection from your physical experience

  • a desire to live more authentically and with greater self-awareness

You do not need to have a specific problem to begin therapy. Many people come because they want to understand themselves better, make space for new possibilities, or reconnect with a deeper sense of balance and purpose.

How we work together

Starting therapy begins with an introductory session, where we meet, explore your current situation and needs, and see whether working together feels right. This first conversation offers space for questions and orientation, with no commitment beyond it.

If we decide to continue the process together, each session lasts 60 minutes and unfolds as a collaborative, co-created exploration shaped by your pace, your needs, and what emerges in the present moment.

Gestalt therapy focuses on the here and now: whatever is present in your life - visible or invisible, conscious or unconscious - often appears naturally in the therapy session. Through dialogue, awareness exercises, and reflection, we explore how you experience yourself in the present moment: in your body, emotions, feelings, and thoughts.

Gestalt therapy is relational. As a Gestalt therapist, I take an active role, engaging in dialogue and offering presence, feedback, and support. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where all feelings, emotions, thoughts, and bodily experiences are welcome and valued.

Sometimes we work with creative or embodied methods - movement, drawing, working with metaphors, or sensory awareness - always at your pace and within your comfort level.

My role as a Gestalt therapist is not to fix or diagnose you, but to help restore real contact - with yourself, with others, and with your environment - so that clarity, choice, and new possibilities can genuinely emerge.
